LA Tutors 123 

At LA Tutors 123, we believe that it’s more than just the grades that make a great well-rounded student. Each one of you is creative in his or her own way: some of you blog; others curate documentary photography on Instagram; still others find imaginative ways to solve problems in their public and private lives. Creativity is the air each one of us breathes, but sometimes we get so concerned with grades that we forget that imagination is our natural problem solver.  We at LA Tutors are passionate about sparking the creative genius in students and would love to commend those outstanding students who have a made a difference in the lives of others in some innovative or technological fashion. OppU Achievers Scholarship

The OppU Achievers Scholarship celebrates achievement in its many forms and honors those who create opportunities for themselves and others.  Founded in 2016, the scholarship provides $2,500 for current or future education costs. Scholarship selections are made four times a year. Annually, the OppU Achievers Scholarship awards a total of $10,000 to students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement.

Hispanic Heritage Foundation

The Youth Awards was founded in 1998 by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. Now entering its 22nd year, the Youth Awards honors Latino high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community and for their excellence in various categories including: Business & Finances, Entrepreneurship, Education, Healthcare & Science, Media & Entertainment, Sports and Technology.  Gold, Silver and Bronze recipients are selected in each category and receive a one-time grant to fund their college education or to fund a community service effort that tackles a social issue.  Once selected, recipients will be celebrated in 10 virtual ceremonies and will become part of our broader HHF network of 200,000 professionals and fulfill our unique cycle of leadership where we meet America's priorities in the classroom and workforce.  The Youth Awards program is the main pipeline to Hispanic Heritage Foundation's (HHF) system of talent that prepares and positions Latino youth through the award-winning Latinos On Fast Track (LOFT) program as they transition from high school, to college, to graduate school, and into their careers.

George S. & Stella M. Knight Essay Contest

The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) cordially invites Northern Virginia high school students (9th through 12th grades) interested in the American Revolution to participate in the George S. & Stella M. Knight Essay Contest. The contest is open to students attending home schools, public, parochial, or private high schools in the specified grades. To participate, students must submit an original 800- to 1,200-word essay based on an event, person, philosophy or ideal associated with the American Revolution, Declaration of Independence, or the framing of the United States Constitution. Each student’s essay will be judged based upon its historical accuracy, clarity, organization, grammar and spelling, and documentation.  Only one entry per student is permitted per contest year.

The Certa Law Scholarship has a brief submission process, and applicants will be judged on their ability to convey the lasting effect an accident has had on their life.

Equitable Excellence Scholarship

Every year, students across the country work hard to make a positive and lasting impact in their communities and beyond. And every year, we award $1.8 million in college scholarships to hundreds of these remarkable young people throughout the nation representing all 50 states, Washington DC and Puerto Rico.  Students have the opportunity to receive a $2,500, $10,000 or $25,000 scholarship. To recognize the important role their dedicated educators play in guiding these students along their path to success, we also award a $1,000 grant to every Equitable Excellence winner’s high school.

American Graphics Institute offers multiple scholarships to encourage the use of design and creative thinking across various disciplines and fields. Automotive Women's Association Scholarships

Scholarships are the root of our purpose in Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation (AWAF). As an active professional foundation dedicated to supporting the advancement of automotive professionals, AWAF strives to motivate current and future students studying an automotive related field.   Scholarships are selected by the Scholarship Committee and awarded quarterly to the women that solicit passion and drive for the automotive industry. Ron Brown Scholarships Program

The Ron Brown Scholar Fund is a 501(c)3 public charity, managed by an independent Board of Trustees.  The Program  which was named for the late Secretary of Commerce and inspired by his dedication to public service, focuses on encouraging civic engagement among Scholars while promoting academic excellence, community and lifelong interactions.  Recipients are young African Americans of outstanding promise who are offered academic scholarships, service opportunities and leadership experiences.  The Ron Brown Scholar Program also provides Scholars with the financial resources to attend some of the finest colleges and universities in the country. Upon acceptance, Scholars are each awarded $40,000 ($10,000 per year for 4 years toward educational expenses), that may be used at the college or university of their choice. Acceptance into the Program means Scholars are also provided with the nurturing and mentorship to succeed and flourish in college and beyond.  The Ron Brown Scholar Program has a proven track record of academic success with a 99 percent graduation rate. Graduating Scholars go on to outstanding careers in technology, arts, sciences and public service, and many more pursue professional degrees in law, medicine and business.

Washington Crossing Foundation Scholarship

The Board The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the annual National Washington Crossing Foundation Scholarship Awards for students completing twelfth grade (or final high school year) in 2020 who are planning careers in government service. Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarships

Due to the generosity of an anonymous donor, The Vegetarian Resource Group each year will award $20,000 in college scholarship money to graduating U.S. high school students who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and/or communities. Vegetarians do not eat meat, fish, or fowl. Vegans are vegetarians who do not use other animal products such as dairy or eggs.

Elizabeth W. Bowen Memorial Scholarship

The Prince William School Librarians' Association is pleased to announce the return of the Elizabeth W. Bowen Memorial Scholarship.  PWSLA scholarship awards graduating seniors $1000 from Prince William and Manassas City area high schools. Graduating seniors who plan to attend 2 or 4 year colleges/universities are invited to apply, and all majors are welcome. PWSLA membership is not required.  The PWSLA Elizabeth W. 2021 Leslie Ebert Legacy of Life Scholarship

Washington Regional Transplant Community (WRTC) is proud to announce that the 2021 Leslie Ebert Legacy of Life Scholarship Program is now open and accepting submissions in both the Video and Essay categories.  Eligible high school seniors can submit up to one essay and/or one video for consideration through March 31, 2021 and have a chance at the top award - $5,000 in each category!   The Leslie Ebert Memorial Fund will award one $5,000 first place, one $3,000 second place, and three $1,000 honorable mentions in both categories.  Scholarships will be awarded to selected students who submit a persuasive essay and/or video that motivates individuals to register to be an organ, eye and tissue donor.  Please refer to the attached information for instructions and rules regarding submissions.

As cyber crime increases, the demand for experts in the field is also going up. So we are here to help those that are looking to get into the cyber field. Paying for your school on top of your everyday expenses can be hard, and every little bit can help!  Some schools offer cyber security degree programs. While others, may offer a similar degree paths in network security, IT security, info sec, computer forensics or health information security.  We are offering a scholarship worth $1,000 to eligible students seeking one of these degrees. We hope to help offset the costs associated with earning a degree.  When awarded, the recipient can use the $1,000 tuition voucher for any cost associated with his or her school bursar’s office (some restrictions may apply based on the school).
