Hello again,

To all of my students, I have gone in and updated all 3rd quarter grades in the gradebook. Please if you have any questions or concerns about your grade, please feel free to contact me. Also, if there is something as far as project related work that you can somehow turn in, whether it be an old project or something new, I will accept and substitute it in the gradebook. Or if it's something you want to send me and can be justified relative to class, it can replace a low grade as well.

I have also added a Cyanotype Lesson down at the bottom of my teacher page for all of my Photo classes, but it is not just limited to those students. Art 2 and Computer Art 1 students may also try it out as well! Adapt it to Art 2 and or Digital Art and send me images of your work! Again, this is not a mandatory assignment! There are materials that may need to be ordered but on a whole is pretty inexpensive and can be a real learning process and fun/creative!

Sincerely,
Mr. Hayes

To all students: I will continue to update this page with help, links, and projects that can be done outside the school. If you have any questions from you and or your parents, please feel free to email me!

Cyanotype Project Sheet
Cyanotype Wikipedia - A little history on the Cyanotype

Cyanotype Video Workshop - Here is a video on the process to create a simple cyanotype. There are other ways to create theses as well. For example, if you have access to Photoshop or any other program to where you can take an image and produce a digital negative to use to lay over top of the solution based paper (i suggest 100% cotton resume paper) or you can very simply get a transparency and design/ draw out an image with a regular permanent Sharpie marker onto the transparency to use to lay over the solution based paper.

Cyanotype  - Solutions/ Pretreated Fabrics etc....
Link above is where you can order either theCyanotype solutions A/B to mix or there is also pretreated fabric here that can be ordered as well.
(Again, this is not a mandatory project, but could be something informative and productive during this time.
Creating cyanotypes can be a really creative alternative to photographs!
