COVID Update

Hello Everyone,
The  Files and Documents Page has been updated to reflect an update on what curriculum we covered up to the closure. Each course also has a folder with enrichment and review activities. All prior assignments can be downloaded from the grade book by clicking the assignment. If you have any questions or would like to submit any late assignments from this quarter please email me. Watch your email for future class updates.

On a personal note, I wanted you all to know how much I miss our time together and wish we could end the year as planned. It has been great getting to know you and I am proud of how everyone seems to be handling this difficult time. If anyone needs anything, please reach out by email and I would be happy to talk. As a social studies teacher I find it important to note moments in history that I will teach in the future and this is one of them. I will tell stories of my students who adjusted and moved on to successful futures despite this disruption. Take care of yourselves and your families.

I graduated from Rowan University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Social Studies Education, History, and a Masters in Special Education. After a year of teaching students with autism I moved from NJ to VA to become a classroom teacher. I eventually landed at BDHS in 2014 and have taught various social studies courses including World History I, U.S. History, U.S. Government, and Sociology. Outside the classroom, I run the National Honor Society here at Brentsville and operate a farm in Fauquier County.
