Columbia University

As with our fall 2020 courses, the spring 2021 semester is designed as 10-week remote instruction held on Saturdays and Sundays in the morning and afternoon. Taught by our Columbia instructors in real-time, courses cover disciplines from the arts to finance to physical and social sciences to technology. A rich array of co-curricular activities is offered daily before morning classes and during the break between morning and afternoon classes. We’re very pleased that many students currently taking the Program have told us that they plan to continue in the spring. They’ve shared that their peer-to-peer experiences have been particularly engaging and that they are learning from each other as well as their instructors.

Our Admissions staff will not be traveling to any high schools or college fairs in person as we are joining in on the effort to help slow the spread of coronavirus. Due to that, we are hostingVirtual Information Sessions and 1-on-1 appointments every week for your students to sign up and meet with our staff, and learn about the application process and life as a Mason student. Your students can also visit ourVirtual Campus Experience website. It contains a wealth of knowledge regarding student life, campus tours, info sessions, and more.

Our institution has offered a Score Optional policy for many years because we believe that a student's ability to be successful in college is not necessarily reflected in the performance on standardized tests. Score Optional Consideration provides an opportunity for your students to be considered for admission without submitting standardized test scores. For more information on our Score Optional policy, click HEREor your student can reach out to their Admissions Counselor.

This fall we are hosting a variety of Admissions Virtual Events for both juniors and seniors to assist them in their college search.  While we are disappointed we can't have you and your students visit our beautiful campus community, your students will have the unique opportunity to register for webinars and live-streamed events on ourFall 2020 Admissions Events website.

CampusHQ Website - I hope you are doing well and staying safe during these times! I graduated from Prince William County in 2019, and I am currently a second year student at The University of Virginia, pursuing majors in Finance and Political Science. After seeing the impacts of COVID-19 on high school students, I, along with other UVA students, founded CampusHQ to provide free support through our resources, community, and mentorship.

While watching our community adjust to a “new normal,” we recognize that high school seniors will be facing particularly challenging circumstances due to many changes in the college admissions process and the lack of college tours. As we face educational disruption during this time of virtual learning together, we hope to reduce their anxieties through our free resources. We offer students mentorship from current college students and industry professionals -- please view our Platform Overview attached for a full list of resources we provide.
