Future Business Leaders of America, Inc. (FBLA) inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences. FBLA is a professional national organization. Membership dues per year are $20.00. FBLA participates in: Community Service, Competitive Events, Conferences, and more!

Meetings are the 2nd Thursday of each month from 2:15-2:45 in room 1204.  All are welcome!

National Honor Society = Community Service and Leadership Skills

Meetings are the 3rd Thursday of the month from 2:10-2:40 in room 2212.

Eligible juniors and seniors will be invited to apply in the fall.  At a minimum, students must have a 3.0 GPA.

National French Honor Society

Newspaper Club

This club is for anyone who is interested in working with "The Roar," our school-published newspaper.

Meetings are the 3rd Monday of each month from 2:15-3:00 in Room 1111.

Rho Kappa

Rho Kappa serves as a history honor society.

Sophomores - Seniors who have filled out an application and been accepted are eligible to attend.  Teacher recommendations are required.

Science Honor Society

Who can join?  Juniors or Seniors taking upper level science courses while earning an overall GPA of 3.0 and an overall Science GPA average of 3.5.
 
Application processa;  
1) Students must fill out an application which includes a recommendation letter from a science teacher.
2) Turn in by September 12th.
3) Interest meeting/1st meeting is on September 5th.
4) Application fee of $15.
5) Must meet all the requirements and meet volunteer hours each semester to stay in good standings.
 
Meetings will be the 1st Fridays of each month from 2:15-2:45.

Student Voice Committee - The Tiger Task Force

The Tiger Task Force is aimed at problem-solving issues at Brentsville that help ALL students. In order to do this, we need ALL students' voices shared. Therefore, we need YOU to attend.
 
Who can join?  Anyone who would like to share their ideas and voice to help make Brentsville the best school it can be.

TSA (Technology Student Association)

The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national organization for middle and high school students that helps them develop skills and leadership in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through a variety of hands-on activities and competitions.

Any student can join.  There is a $20 fee for dues each year.  

Meetings are every other Wednesday until 3:00 in room 1404.

Yearbook Club

Yearbook Club is an assisted club that allows for BDHS students to participate in making and designing the yearbook, especially if it conflicts with other core classes. You'll assist in taking photos of clubs, sports, and bring ideas to the yearbook staff as well as have the opportunity to work on a few spreads/pages.

Open to all grade levels and students who want to play a role in crafting the yearbook!  There is no application process, but you must have a willingness and drive to complete anything you are assigned to work on.

Meetings are every Monday from 2:15-3:30 in room 1205.

Diversity Student Union

FCA

Fellowship of Christian Students & Athletes is an organization that brings together students, athletes, and coaches who share a common faith. FCA aims to combine activities/sports/students with spiritual growth, providing a platform for them to connect with their faith and each other. FCA has a significant presence on high school and college campuses and in communities worldwide

Meetings are the every Wednesday from 6:50-7:20 AM in room 1202.  Everyone is welcome!

No Place for Hate

No Place for Hate is a student-led initiative that provides Pre-K–12 schools with an organizing framework for students, administrators, teachers and family members to develop long-term solutions for creating and maintaining an inclusive and equitable school climate.
 
The No Place for Hate framework helps schools to:
• Build inclusive and safe communities in which respect and equity are the goals and where all students can thrive.
• Empower students, faculty, administration and family members to take action against bias and bullying by incorporating new and existing programs under one powerful message.
• Send a clear, unified message that all students have a place where they belong.

 

Anyone who would like to make a difference here at BDHS is welcome.  We meet on select Thursdays from 2:15-3:00 in the Auditorium.

E-Sports

The BDHS E-Sports team competes in Super Smash Brothers against other VA schools. We also play other Nintendo Switch games for fun. Join us if you are interested.

Meetings are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:10-4:-00 in the Library Lab (1703).  Competitions will be Wednesdays from 4:00-5:30.

Robotics/Seaperch

Anyone can apply to join our robotics team.  An application will be provided at the interest meeting.

Robotics meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 3:00 in room 1108.

Scholastic Bowl

Scholastic Bowl, our academic team, meets and competes against other students from different schools.

Anyone who enjoys general knowledge quizzes (e.g. Jeopardy) can join!

We meet weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:10-3:10 in room 1202.  

Meets begin in November and are on Mondays.
