Coach Trey
Coach Trey is the Varsity Head Coach for the Brentsville District High School volleyball program, bringing more than three decades of volleyball experience as a competitive player and committed coach. Having competed in and won numerous A and AA league championships and tournaments, Coach Trey continues to play in recreational and league settings, keeping his skills sharp and his passion for the sport alive.
With a background as a multi-sport athlete and years of coaching across various youth sports, Coach Trey has spent the last several seasons developing players at both the high school and club volleyball levels. Before taking over the varsity team at Brentsville, he led the JV squad to its most successful season in recent years—laying the groundwork for a thriving program built on accountability, team culture, and player development.
Coach Trey’s coaching philosophy centers on holistic athlete development—shaping student-athletes through mindset, physical fitness, and skill-building. His goal is to empower players to grow in both sport and life, emphasizing leadership, teamwork, and resilience. As a coach and father of two volleyball athletes, he brings both professional and personal passion to the program every day.

A 1996-2000 member of the BDHS faculty & volleyball coaching staff, Coach Lem returns as varsity assistant. He has about 20 years of varsity, JV, and freshman coaching experience at BDHS, Forest Park HS, and Battlefield HS. Mr. Lem is also entering his 30th year teaching for PWCS as an English Teacher at Unity Reed HS.
